The town of Český Krumlov is located in the South Bohemia, surrounded by beautiful unspoiled nature. It is not big in size, but very attractive by its magic atmosphere of ancient times. Thanks to its unique medieval development it has been rightly inscribed in the UNESCO List since 1992.
Its medieval centre, mainly from the 16th Century, surrounds the meanders of the Vltava River, together with the Chateaux, the second largest castle complex in the Czech Republic after the Prague Castle. The originally Gothic castle, rebuilt in the Renaissance style, the historic seat of the House of Rožmberk, involves a series of palace buildings, the famous masquerade Hall, unique Baroque Theatre, the chateaux garden with a Rococo fountain and the Villa Bellaria with the revolving auditorium. A distinctive landmark of the city is the St. Vitus Cathedral, the valuable work of the South Bohemian Gothic.
Český Krumlov is also a vibrant city of culture, art and remarkable experiences. It offers number of cultural events: visits to museums and galleries, seven musical festivals and theatre performances.
